Oh hi. Well I used to know a lot of people here. It was like the main place I went to on the internet for a long time, actually. But I have no idea who's still here.

Yup yup. Livejournal's been a huge part of my life. There were a lot of people I knew from real life on here, plus people I knew from the internet, plus people I knew from livejournal from hanging out on livejournal. It's still a fine service. It got a little stagnant, but it still works as well as it did before, which was quite enjoyable at the time.

Indeed. Although I do find it a bit 1997ish in terms of the UI.

True! I'm not sure that's actually a problem, though. It's nice when we invent good new things on the internet and develop, but we shouldn't just change for change's sake. If something works well it might be fine to value it for what it is.

Well I do find it difficult to manage my posts. I would like to make some of my past posts visible but I just don't feel they are up to scratch. It the UI was even a little bit more like the Menu configuration page in Drupal (which I don't believe is the best UI) it would be nicer to use. I guess what I am saying is more ajax plz?

There's plenty of changes I'd make! It was bought by a Russian company I think a few years ago, and I dunno what they've been thinking. But it works as what it is!

I think it made sense to sell to a Russian company as it was used a lot in Russia.. However I could be wrong.
